Our healthcare system is being pushed to the brink because of COVID-19. Additionally, Georgia's hospitals are shutting down. Furthermore, Georgia is one of the top 10 gun manufacturers in the country, and also ranks in the top 10 states for gun mortality. Gun violence is a serious public health issue. We must ensure that every Georgian has access to affordable, quality healthcare, and that every Georgian can be safe from gun violence. This includes:

  • Expanding Medicaid

  • Reducing maternal mortality rates and ensuring full access to reproductive healthcare services including abortions

  • Addressing racial and ethnic disparities

  • Supporting addiction recovery services

  • Advocating for access to quality dental and vision insurance

  • Supporting access to mental health services

  • Addressing the rising insurance premiums and rising prescription drug prices

  • Advocating for better background checks, studies on preventing gun violence, and solutions to keep guns out of the hands of abusers

I believe that healthcare must be affordable, accessible, and comprehensive for every individual. It is essential to everyone’s well-being, and we must improve it.
